Looking back: BOAC menu from 1948

14 Mar 2012 by BusinessTraveller

As part of BA's research into its London 2012 Olympics menu for this summer (click here for more details), the carrier has published a menu from predecessor British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) dating back to 1948, the last time the Olympics were staged in London.

Dishes included a starter of consommé royale, with ox tongue for main course and a dessert of peaches and cream.

Last year we published the details of several in-flight meal choices as archived by Northwest University, including the intriguing Hobo’s Picnic Buffet offered by TWA in 1978 - for more information click here.
