JAL to fly Dreamliner to Singapore

18 Jan 2012

Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced that it will deploy its Dreamliner aircraft on its Singapore flights from September this year.

The Boeing B787 aircraft will be used to operate the carrier’s daily service to the Lion City from both Narita and Haneda airports in Tokyo.

From October 28, JAL will also up the frequency of Singapore flights with one additional daily service on the Narita-Singapore route, which will also be serviced by the Dreamliner. The flight will depart Narita at 1755, arriving in Singapore at 0025. The return leg is scheduled to take off at 0140, arriving back in Tokyo at 0925.

As a result, the carrier will then be flying to Singapore 21 times a week, up from the current 14 times.

As previously reported, the carrier will also use the Dreamliner to operate flights to New Delhi, Moscow, Beijing and the new Boston route (see story here).
