Langham to open Xiamen property

17 Jan 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Hong Kong-based Langham Hospitality Group is to open its first property in the Chinese city of Xiamen, with the 330-room Langham Place Xiamen scheduled to open in late 2012.

The hotel will be located in Xiamen’s business district, and will feature Ming Court, a Chinese restaurant inspired by the two-Michelin star eatery of the same name in the group’s Hong Kong property, as well as an “intimate speciality restaurant”, and an all-day dining option.

Other facilities will include a Portal – Work and Play, a mixed use business centre and lounge area, as well as a grand ballroom, the 22nd floor Star Room meeting space with views over the city, and Chuan spa and fitness centre.

KLM is currently the only European carrier to offer direct flights to Xiamen, with fellow Skyteam member China Southern Airlines codesharing on the route.
