Airbus has released its yearly results outlining 2011’s orders and deliveries, which confirm that a total of 19 superjumbos were ordered, with 10 of them by Hong Kong Airlines.
This has confirmed the Asian carrier as the biggest customer of the A380 last year. At time of press, Hong Kong Airlines could not be reached for comments.
The carrier first signalled its intention to order A380 aircraft at last year’s Paris Air Show (see story here), in order to facilitate network expansion.
