Boeing will begin the second part of its Dreamliner world tour later this month, with the aircraft visiting the Irish capital as well as three US destinations.
The “Dream Tour” has already taken in cities in China, Qatar, Ethiopia and Kenya during December, and will now embark on the second stage with visits to Wichita (January 20-23), Rockford (January 23-25), Dublin (January 25-27) and Hunstville (January 27-30).
Boeing says the stop in the Irish capital is intended to visit “airline customers, leasing companies, financiers and other stakeholders”.
The Dream Tour will continue until April, with stops being announced around one month in advance. More information including videos, photos and reports from the tour can be seen at newairplane.com/787/dreamtour.
Japanese carrier ANA was the launch customer for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner (click here for more information), with airlines including JAL and Air India scheduled to start taking delivery of the aircraft early this year. The Air France KLM group also recently announced an order for 25 Dreamliner aircraft (see online news January 11).
