Gatwick confirms Korean Air service

5 Jan 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Gatwick airport has confirmed Korean Air will launch a three times-weekly service to Seoul on April 29, complementing the carrier’s existing flights from Heathrow.

Business Traveller first reported Korean Air’s plans for the new route in October last year (see online news October 6, 2010), although it has taken until now for firm launch dates to be announced.

Flights will depart from Gatwick’s North terminal, using B777 aircraft configured for 225 economy seats, 28 in business and eight in first class.

The new flights are the latest in a raft of long-haul routes to be launched from Gatwick, with Air Asia X and Vietnam Airlines recently having commenced services, and Hong Kong Airlines and Air China both set to launch flights this year.
