Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Pudong unveils RMB30 million refurbishment

The Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Pudong has completed a RMB30 million (US$4,727,834) renovation of 142 rooms within the hotel. 

The property’s 100 refurbished premier rooms are located between the 22nd and 26th floors, while its 42 enlarged executive floor rooms are located on the 27th and 29th floors.

Commenting on the re-design the hotel's general manager, Uwe Guemmer said: "The rooms feature a contemporary and light green colour tone, enhanced with wooden elements and modern blinds, instead of curtains."

Apart from the premier and executive rooms, the Presidential Suite and Courtyard Suites have also been renovated. In addition, a total of RMB3.8 million (US$598,859) was spent on the upgrading works for the executive lounge, which now includes an open kitchen, and a dining area that can seat up to 70 people. 

In recognition of the completed renovation the hotel is offering guests who book a deluxe room between now and the end of February 2012, a free upgrade to a refurbished premier room.

Currently, there are 10 Courtyard by Marriot properties in China across the cities of Beijing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.
