Marriott International says it will unveil a new Rewards credit card “in the coming months”, having ended its loyalty credit card partnership with the Halifax earlier this year.
Exact details of the new card have yet to be released, but in an email to Marriott Rewards members the group said the card would be “launching soon”, with benefits including “automatic Silver status or better”, “accelerated earning opportunities at 3,500+ participating Marriott hotels worldwide”, and “bonus points on your card anniversary”.
Marriott wrote to members earlier this year confirming that its long-standing partnership with the Halifax was being withdrawn, with co-branded cards being transferred to a Halifax branded card by December (see online news August 31).
Business Traveller will post more details here when they are announced.
