SIA adds fourth daily flight to Beijing

28 Oct 2011

Singapore Airlines will add a fourth daily flight between Singapore and Beijing from December 16, 2011, due to increased demand for the route.

The new service, operated by an Airbus A330 aircraft, will depart Singapore at 1910, arriving at Beijing Capital International Airport at 0105, and the return flight will depart Beijing at 0215, arriving back in Singapore at 0855.

This additional service will boost the carrier’s flights to and from Beijing from 21 to 28 per week.

On October 30, the carrier will also boost frequencies on the Singapore-Guangzhou flight (see story here), which will go from daily to a double daily service thus reflecting the carrier’s commitment to the Mainland.

The additional flight to Guangzhou, also operated by an A330, will depart at 2040, arriving in the southern Chinese city at 0045, while the return leg will depart at 1320, arriving back in Singapore at 1740. However, this extra service is only for the winter schedule and will run until March 24, 2012.
