British Airways is to reinstate flights between Gatwick and Nice next year, with a three times-daily service competing with Easyjet on the route.
The carrier had previously served the French city from Gatwick up until March 2008, and currently flies up to seven times-daily from Heathrow and daily London City.
The reinstated route commences on March 25, 2012, and is now available for purchase at ba.com, with flights departing Gatwick’s North Terminal at 0740, 1305 and 1920, arriving in Nice at 1040, 1605 and 2220 respectively.
The Gatwick-bound leg will depart Nice at 0705, 1125 and 1650, landing in London at 0805, 1225 and 1750.
The new route will go head-to-head with Easyjet, which serves Nice from Gatwick’s South Terminal. The low-cost carrier also flies to the French city from London Luton.
