Adria Airways to drop Gatwick route

12 Oct 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Loss-making Star Alliance member Adria Airways will cut routes from Ljubljana to London Gatwick from the end of October, as well as ceasing flights to Paris, Toulon and Warsaw.

The state-owned carrier recently agreed a financial and operational restructuring plan with creditors, and as part of the rescue plan has dropped several routes from its Ljubljana hub.

Flights to London Gatwick, Paris, Toulon and Warsaw will be cut, as well as a route to Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina which started last year.

The last flight to Gatwick will depart on October 31, leaving just Easyjet serving the Ljubljana-London route from Stansted.
