Hilton set to debut in Baku

7 Oct 2011 by BusinessTraveller

The first Hilton Hotels and Resorts property in Azerbaijan will open later this month, with the hotel also featuring the first foray for the brand’s eforea spa offering in the region.

The 309-room Hilton Baku is taking reservations for arrival from October 15, and is located in the city’s business district, opposite Park Bulivar Mall and a few minutes’ walk from the Caspian Sea coastline.

Features include 24 meetings rooms with a pillarless ballroom and 24-hour business centre, a fitness centre and indoor swimming pool, a revolving rooftop bar, Sky Grill with outdoor terrace, and the 1,500sqm eforea spa.

The new spa offering has already been introduced in selected Hilton hotels in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand, and Hilton describes the Baku facility as being the concept’s “first location in Europe” (although some will maintain that Azerbaijan is in fact located in Asia).

The spa is located on the 23rd floor of the hotel, with views over the Caspian Sea, and features eight treatment rooms with private showers and dressing rooms, as well as “transition lounges”, full body hydro massage beds, spa bath and hammam, and a presidential spa suite with private steam room and sauna.
