Eurostar launches pan-European ad campaign

Featuring British musician Jarvis Cocker, French film director Michel Gondry, and Belgian popstar Arno Hintjens, it’s the first time the rail operator will show the same advert across its three key markets.

The ad carries the slogan “Opening the way”, and sees the three celebrities “trainstorming” ideas for the the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games, of which Eurostar is the official international rail service provider.

The light-hearted ad features ideas from Jarvis Cocker including “totally bad boy beats” and “maybe we need bagpipes?”.

Eurostar has also released a “making of” video with behind-the-scenes shots of the filming, which can also be seen above.
