Novotel Beijing Xinqiao is now offering guests free and fast wifi in rooms and public areas.
The hotel, an iconic property in the city centre, has introduced 100 mbps internet coverage ensuring high speed connections through all wifi-enabled gadgets.
In an increasingly connected world, simply free internet access is hardly enough and high speed access is now becoming an essential hotel amenity. Dennis Oldfield, general manager of the property, said: "Offering free high speed wifi recognises the technology needs and expectations of today’s travellers.”
In a bid to lure the tech savvy guests, several other hotel groups are also pushing for both free and fast internet access across their properties. One such group is Marriott Hotels, which recently installed complimentary internet access for all Marriott Rewards members. As reported earlier (see story here), the group promises to offer a standard bandwidth of 75kb per room for all members regardless of tier, including new comers.
