Jetstar has begun flights between Singapore and Ningbo.
The new service operates three times weekly, but is expected to increase frequency to four times a week on October 31.
The low-cost carrier is also poised to launch flights to Beijing
Flights between Singapore and Ningbo are operated every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday by an Airbus A320-200, departing Singapore at 1125 and arriving in Ningbo at 1630. The return leg departs Ningbo at 1720, arriving back in Singapore at 2220.
Ningbo is Jetstar’s eighth destination in China after Guilin, Haikou, Hong Kong, Hangzhou, Macau, Shantou and Taipei.
As reported earlier (see story here), the carrier is also geared to start long-haul flights from Melbourne to Beijing via Sinagpore in November, although flight schedules on this route have yet to be released. The carrier will be using a two-class A330-300 on this route.
