BA unveils new champagnes for premium passengers

1 Sep 2011 by BusinessTraveller

British Airways is to introduce Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle to its first class champagne list, and is also set to announce a new champagne offering for Club World travellers.

The Laurent Perrier vintage will be available in First cabins for the next year, and is the first in a series of new champagnes and wines to be unveiled by the carrier, with a new Club World champagne set to be announced next month.

BA says it is “making a substantial investment” in its onboard wine and champagne offering, with examples including Asian routes which will see Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Le Champ Gain 2007 and Corton Bressandes Grand Cru 2008 being added to the wine list.

Each year Business Traveller unveils the winners of its Cellars in the Sky wine awards, recognising airlines serving the best champagnes and wines inflight – for more information and to see how BA fared in last year’s awards, click here.
