Melia Hotels International is to open its first property in the Italian city of Genoa, with the rebranding of the luxury Bentley Hotel.
From September the hotel will be known as the Melia Genova, and will be the fourth property by the group in Italy, with existing hotels in Milan, Rome and Verona. A second Rome property is scheduled to open under the group’s Gran Melia brand before the end of the year.
The 99-room Melia Genova is located on Via Corsica within a building dating back to 1929, with facilities including an a la carte restaurant, lounge bar, congress room, two meeting rooms and a Wellness Club, featuring a swimming pool, Turkish bath, whirlpool bath, tropical showers and fitness area.
