Lufthansa subsidiary Bmi is to launch routes from Heathrow to Agadir in Morocco and the French city of Nice later this year.
Twice-weekly flights to Agadir will commence on October 29, joining recently launched Bmi services to Marrakech and Casablanca (see online news January 31). Easyjet currently flies twice-weekly to Agadir from Gatwick, while Ryanair also offers a twice-weekly service from Stansted.
Ahead of this Bmi will also launch daily flights to Nice on August 25, increasing to twice-daily on October 30. The carrier has served this route previously under the same flight codes BD195 and BD196.
Bmi will compete directly with British Airways on the Heathrow-Nice route – BA also offer flights to the French city from London City airport, while Easyjet currently flies from Gatwick, Stansted and Luton.
Both the Agadir and Nice routes will be served with A320 aircraft configured for economy and business class. The full schedules for both routes are detailed below.
