In Hong Kong – "Sky100" provides the view

16 Jul 2011
You’ve visited Asia’s most famous port city dozens of times, but have only gotten a feel of it from ground level. Now there's another way to enjoy the city. Sky100 – the observation deck on the ICC's (International Commerce Centre) 100th storey (393m above sea level) – provides an unforgettable experience that allows you a 360-degree panorama of the territory and its renowned harbour. Business Traveller recently spent a few hours exploring the place on a day that fortunately was clear and sunny. One round of the 2,787sqm venue was not enough, we found out, as the chance to view Hong Kong from all angles was engrossing. If tired of the cityscape (although we could not imagine this to be possible), there are exhibits to examine, such as of the world's tallest towers (ICC is the fourth), popular tourist activities and top-rated souvenirs. A photo service, offering iconic backgrounds and wacky props; a kiosk where visitors can design their own itineraries; the "Sky Postbox" to mail postcards from; novelties shop and snack bar are among the facilities to keep visitors entertained. Sky100 is open from 1000 to 2200 daily. For more details about the , visit www.sky100.com.hk Margie T Logarta
