Oman Air to launch Zurich flights

5 Jul 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Oman Air will launch four-times weekly flights between Muscat and Zurich later this year, using two-class A330-200 aircraft.

The carrier has not yet made an official announcement about the new route, but industry website airlineroute.net reports that the GDS timetables have been updated to show the flights.

The new route will launch on October 30, with flights departing Muscat on Monday and Friday at 1310 (arriving at 1730), and on Wednesday and Sunday at 0230, landing in Zurich at 0650. The return leg will depart at 2100 on Monday and Friday (arriving at 0645 the next day), and 0915 on Wednesday and Sunday, landing back in Muscat at 1900.

Oman Air will be the only carrier to offer a nonstop service between the two cities – Swiss currently operates a daily one-stop flight (via Dubai), departing Zurich at 1245, and returning from Muscat at 2345.
