Easyjet's flexible fare aimed at the business traveller can now be bought online.
The flexifare has previously only been available via global distribution systems (GDSs) and online booking tools from travel management companies.
As the name suggests, Easyjet’s flexifare, launched in December, allows travellers to change their flights an unlimited number of times from one week before their original booking to three weeks after.
Passengers booking the fare also get automatic speedy boarding and one piece of hold luggage included, plus credit and debit card booking fees are waived.
The flexiblity does come at a price, however.
For example, for next Tuesday’s (June 14) 08.40 flight from London Gatwick to Edinburgh, booked one week in advance, the flexible fare comes out at £173.99.
When booking the same flight on a standard fare, including speedy boarding, one piece of hold luggage and booking fees, the figure is around half – £86.94.
The new fare reflects Easyjet’s move in recent months to focus more on the business travel sector.
Carolyn McCall, Easyjet’s CEO, said: “We have seen a growing trend of business travellers choosing to fly easyJet.”
