Lufthansa announced it will deploy an Airbus A380 on the daily Frankfurt-Singapore route from October 30 onwards.
The Lion City will be the carrier’s seventh destination and the third Asian destination served by this aircraft, after Tokyo and Beijing reflecting the carrier's commitment to Asian expansion. Earlier this year, Lufthansa had upped the number of A380 flights to Beijing (see story here). Other destinations served by this aircraft include Johannesburg, New York, San Francisco and soon Miami (see story here).
The carrier also announced it will use the A340 on the daily Munich-Jakarta route via Singapore, with seamless connections for the A380 flight from Singapore to Frankfurt.
