Luxury hotel group Von Essen has appointed Ernst and Young as administrators, just months after opening its first London property attached to the London Heliport.
Von Essen Hotels Ltd is the holding company for 28 luxury properties located in the UK and France, including Cliveden in Berkshire, Lower Slaughter Manor in Gloucestershire and Amberley castle in West Sussex.
The group's latest property, Hotel Verta, opened in September last year and was the first Von Essen hotel in London. The new-build property is attached to the London Heliport (also owned by Von Essen), and overlooks the River Thames in the Battersea area of the city - for a review of the hotel click here.
Confirming its appointment as administrators of holding company Von Essen Hotels Ltd, Ernst and Young said that "the hotels are not in administration and they will continue to trade as usual", adding that “It is business as normal for the hotels and customers of von Essen Hotels can continue to enjoy their stay.”
