Hilton Hotels and Resorts has unveiled a revamped lobby concept, offering guests "accessible technology, contemporary food and beverage offerings and an adaptable environment for community engagement".
The first hotel to benefit from the new design is the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner in Virginia, which has been undergoing a three-phase, $40 million renovation programme.
Hilton says that the new lobby concept offers “a flexible layout with a living room feel that encourages a social atmosphere where guests can interact, work, and collaborate”.
Features of the McLeans Tyson Corner offering include an 18-hour bar, technology lounge with PC and Mac stations and a communal work table, and pod-style check-in desks “allowing Hilton Team Members and guests to interact more directly with personalised service”.
Hilton Worldwide has not yet revealed how many of its existing properties will benefit from the new lobby design, but it’s understood the group will be unveiling other new brand design concepts including restaurant and guest room products later this week.
