Flag carrier Azerbaijan Airlines is set to commence direct flights between the country’s capital Baku and Aberdeen from next month.
According to the carrier’s website it will offer a twice-weekly service starting on May 22 using Airbus A320 aircraft, departing Baku as flight J2033 on Tuesday and Thursday at 0830 and arriving in Aberdeen at 1040, returning as flight J2034 at 1200, landing back in Azerbaijan at 2130.
There are currently no direct scheduled services between the two oil cities. Azerbaijan Airlines also started codesharing with Bmi on the London Heathrow-Baku route at the start of April, with the two airlines now offering a total of ten weekly services between the two cities.
