Qatar Airways has placed orders for two more Boeing B777-300ER aircraft to facilitate further network expansion a week after marking its 100th destination.
In November 2007, the carrier placed orders for 32 B777s consisting of passenger and cargo aircraft. Currently, out of a total fleet of 97 aircraft, the carrier operates eight long-range B777-200LRs and 15 B777-300ERs with the most recent B777-300ER delivered last week.
As reported on Business Traveller earlier, the carrier will eventually launch routes to Venice, Montreal, Kolkata, Sofia and Oslo. Details of the new routes can be viewed here, here or here.
