Singapore-based Meritus hotels is opening its first non-Asian property, Meritus Frankfurt, at the end of the year.
With 223 rooms, this Meritus is located next to the Frankfurt Racing Course and Paragon Golf Course. Aware of its roots, it will feature Oriental architecture, staff wearing bright red cheongsams, a Chinese teahouse offering the iconic brew and an art gallery showcasing Chinese arts, antiques and calligraphy.
For the business traveller, there will be a ballroom with the capacity for 300 people, a function room, conference room and meeting room, accommodating 90 people, all equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities.
In addition to the usual recreational amenities such as F&B outlets, an indoor swimming pool and gym, four karaoke rooms and two billiard rooms will also be available.
Currently, the group has six properties in the region – the flagship Mandarin Orchard Singapore, Marina Mandarin Singapore, Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort and Spa in Langkawi, Meritus Mandarin Haikou, Meritus Shantou and Shanghai JC Mandarin.
