BA and Iberia codeshare on Middle East and Latin American routes

6 Apr 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Merged carriers BA and Iberia have announced a new set of codeshare agreements on routes to Latin America and the Middle East.

BA has placed its code on Iberia flights from Madrid to San Jose and Panama City, and from mid April the British carrier will also codeshare on Iberia’s flights to Havana.

Meanwhile Iberia has placed its code on BA flights from London to Bahrain, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat.

In addition Iberia will codeshare on BA services to Cape Town, and both airlines will share codes on their Johannesburg flights.

The carrier's officially merged under the International Airlines Group (IAG) umbrella earlier this year (see online news January 24).
