BA suspends Libya service until November

23 Mar 2011 by BusinessTraveller

British Airways has suspended all flights to Tripoli until October 29, as a result of the ongoing conflict in Libya.

The carrier says that anyone booked to travel before thisa date will receive a cancellation notice, and will have the option to either use the value of their ticket towards the purchase of a new ticket to any other destination (with any change or service charge waived), or receive a refund.

Bmi had launched flights to Triopli on February 21, but these were cancelled the following day due to the growing unrest in the country (see online news February 22).
