Marco Polo Hotels announced it will manage its first property in Foshan – the Marco Polo Hotel and Residence Foshan Lingnan Tiandi, which is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of this year.
The 391-unit property will be located within an integrated commercial and residential complex on the crossroads of Zumiao Road and Renmin Road in Foshan’s centre.
It will have both guestrooms and residences as well as a wedding hall, function rooms, a club house, restaurants and a three-storey shopping centre.
The entire Foshan Lingnan Tiandi complex, being developed by Shui On Land and scheduled for completion by 2020, is modelled around the group’s Xintiandi project in Shanghai. Spanning over 650,000sqm, the project will preserve the city’s traditions of pottery, Cantonese opera and marital arts and maintain the traditional Lingnan style buildings while blending in modern recreational, residential and commercial facilities.
