Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with the Al Hamra Group for the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, the first branded property in the UAE and second in the Middle East following the 2005 opening of the Qasr Al Sharq in Jeddah. The hotel is scheduled to open in the last quarter of this year.
The Arabian-themed hotel will be located in the upcoming area of Al Hamra, west of Ras Al Khaimah and approximately 40 minutes away from Dubai International Airport along the Emirates Road highway.
It will contain a 3,000 person-capacity convention centre, 450sqm ballroom, 600-metre private beach, spa, number of outdoor pools and be located next to an 18-hole championship golf course.
Gastronomes can select from 10 restaurants and bars, four of which will be fine dining. Guests will also have access to the recently opened shopping mall located within the Al Hamra development.
Hilton has firmly nailed its colours to the northern Emirate's mast, with the new property joining Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa, the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah and the soon-to-open Doubletree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah.
