The Ascott group is looking to expand its Malaysian portfolio with four new properties.
Somerset Ampang Kuala Lumpur opened earlier this month in an neighbourhood known for its proliferation of foreign embassies. The 207-unit property is part of a major multipurpose complex linked to the HSC Medical Centre and near to the Ampang Park Light Rail transit station.
Guests can choose from one, two- or three-bedroom apartments, all of which are designed with separate living and dining sections and come with a kitchen, wifi internet access and home entertainment system. It offers a business centre with secretarial services. Leisure amenities incude a rooftop infinity pool, Jacuzzi or fitness centre.
Ascott will also debut in Cyberjaya, dubbed Malaysia’s “Silicon Valley”, in 2014 with the 232-unit Citadines D’Pulze Cyberjaya. This will be situated directly opposite the Cyberjaya Transport Terminal, again part of a large multipurpose complex housing office spaces and a shopping mall. It will likewise consist of one, two- or three-bedroom apartments, a business centre, swimming pool and fitness centre.
The Ascott has yet to release more details of the Citadines Uplands Kuching opening next year and the 143-unit property in the Kuala Lumpur Sentral area.
Opening rates at the Somerset Ampang Kuala Lumpur start from US$78 for stays until March 31, 2011.
