Qatar Airways is to launch a daily Doha-Venice flight on June 15, ahead of the busy holiday season.
The city will become Qatar’s third destination in Italy after Milan and Rome, which also have daily services from the airline’s base at Doha International.
The route will be operated by a 144-seat Airbus A320, with 12 seats in business class and 132 in economy. The service opens up Venice to Qatar’s wider network via its hub at Doha.
Qatar's CEO Akbar Al Baker said: “Venice is a vibrant city with incredible appeal among leisure and business travellers, and we are confident that our new daily flights will be equally successful as our daily services to Rome and Milan.”
Flight QR961 will depart Doha at 0910 daily, arriving at Venice Marco Polo at 1430. The return flight, QR962, will leave at 1640 and arrive back in Doha at 2325.
