Air Asia has become one of the first low-cost carriers to offer single itineraries and through-baggage checking on flights from London connecting in KL to destinations including Melbourne and Christchurch.
The Fly-Thru service means passengers travelling from London can now book connecting flights under a single itnerary, rather than having to book separate flights. Baggage will also be checked through to the final destination, and passengers are guaranteed a free change to the next available flight if they miss a connecting service as a result of cancellation or rescheduling.
Fly-Thru is available on flights from London Stansted to Perth, Melbourne and Christchurch, and Air Asia has also added the service to its short-haul network on London flights connecting in KL to Bangkok, Bali and Singapore. The carrier says that it intends to further roll out the service throughout 2011.
