Zest Air, a low-cost carrier based in Manila, has plans to expand its international network and increase frequencies on some routes, following delivery of three new single-aisle Airbus A320 aircraft.
It aims to mount five times weekly flights to Shanghai on January 22 from Kalibo International Airport in Aklan province, the gateway to world renowned Boracay Island.
It will also hike frequencies to both Busan and Seoul from Cebu and Kalibo to 12 times a week.
Alfred Yao, Zest Air chief executive officer, recently told local media that the airline would be more aggressive on the international front. He added: “Sometime in February, we also intend to start flying to Singapore daily.”
