Aer Lingus Regional to serve Shannon-Edinburgh route

17 Jan 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Aer Arann is to operate a five times-weekly service between Shannon and Edinburgh, as part of the carrier’s franchise agreement with fellow Irish airline Aer Lingus.

The flights, which will operate under the Aer Lingus Regional agreement using Aer Arann crew and ATR 72-500 aircraft, will commence on March 27. The service will depart Shannon on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 1045, arriving in Edinburgh at 1215, before returning at 1240 and landing back in Shannon at 1415.

The new route adds to existing Aer Lingus Regional flights from Shannon to Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Glasgow. Aer Lingus recently announced its own flights between Shannon and Paris CDG (see online news October 27, 2010), as well as a daily morning service between Shannon and London Gatwick (see online news January 5).
