Wyndham Hotels enters India

16 Jan 2011

Following an aggressive expansion plan for the region, Wyndham Hotels Group debuts in India in April with a Wyndham Hotel and Resort.

The 394-room property is earmarked for New Delhi Dwarka, a short distance from Indira Gandhi International Airport. It will include 1,300sqm of meeting space, a business centre and leisure amenities such as a swimming pool, spa and gym. It will be linked to the luxury shopping mall next door.

The US-based hospitality company has focused on the mid-scale market to power growth. Later this year, two hotels in China will be launched: Wyndham Grand Shanghai Baolian and the first phase of the Wyndham Grand Hangzhou Xixi, both of which belong to the group’s new upscale luxury tier.
