The carrier kicks off the network expansion with thrice weekly services to Guangzhou – its third Chinese destination – on January 3. Utilising a new Boeing B777-300ER, flights depart on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Istanbul at 2305 and arrive in the Southern China hub at 1450. The aircraft then departs Guangzhou at 2305 and arrives back in Istanbul at 0505.
Los Angeles follows on March 3, again employing a B777-300ER on the four times weekly service, which leaves Istanbul on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1110, arriving in Los Angeles at 1525. The return leg has a departure on the same days at 1755 with an arrival in Istanbul at 1710 the following day.
On March 14, the carrier will begin the Istanbul-Shiraz route, which will run four times a week using the B737-800. The schedule for this route will keep changing throughout the year.
