With demand for Cross-Straits travel showing no let up, EVA Air is responding, offering new services to more mainland Chinese cities.
The Taiwanese carrier begun flying twice weekly between Zhengzhou, Henan province's capital and Taoyuan. The service is operated every Tuesday and Friday using Airbus A330-200s.
Weekly flights between Taoyuan and Jinan, the capital of Shandong province, will be launched tomorrow, December 18, 2010, operating A330-200s.
UNI Air, EVA Air's subsidiary, will start operating a weekly service between Taichung and Ningbo in Zhejiang province on December 20.
The addition of Zhengzhou, Jinan, and Ningbo to EVA Air and UNI's mainland China network has brought it to 17 destinations linked to Tiwan by 27 routes with 77 weekly flights. Adding services code-shares with Air China, Shenzhen Air and Shandong Air, the Taiwanese carriers are now close to doubling the frequency of their service with 119 flights a week.
