Citadines lands in Jakarta

Citadines, an Ascott Limited brand, enters Indonesia today with the opening of the Citadines Quartier Jakarta located in the CBD of the capital’s Menteng district.

With this new property, Ascott strengthens its position as the largest international serviced residence owner-operator in the country with more than 1,800 apartment units acrosss nine properties in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali.

The 135-unit Citadines Quartier Jakarta offers studios, one- and two- bedroom apartments and lofts ,all of which come with fully equipped kitchens, separate working areas, internet access and home entertainment systems.

Facilities include a rooftop swimming pool, fitness centre or the Residents’ Lounge. The property also has a business centre, five meeting rooms and two banquet halls that can accommodate up to 100 people.

Opening rates start from US$65 per night for stays between now and March 31, 2011.

Currently, Ascott has four other properties in Jakarta under its different brands: the Ascott Jakarta, Somerset Berlian, Somerset Grand Citra and Country Woods. Additionally, the company also has the Somerset Surabaya Hotel and serviced residence in Surabaya bringing the number of properties in Indonesia to a total of five.

The company will be adding three more properties in Indonesia in the next two years: Citadines Jakarta Rasuna, Citadines Bali Kuta and Ascott Kuningan Jakarta are all slated for a 2012 opening.
