Cathay Pacific (CX) and onworld partner LAN Peru (LA) have agreed on code-share agreement, which takes effect on December 13, 2010.
The code share will add Lima, Peru’s capital, to Cathay’s network as its fourth Latin American destination.
The agreement will see the CX code on LAN Peru flights between Lima and Cathay's North American gateways Los Angeles and San Francisco, while LAN Peru's "LA" code will also be placed on Cathay flights between these two gateway cities and Hong Kong. Tickets are already on sale for travel on the inaugural date onwards on these routes.
Currently, Cathay Pacific flies to three Latin American cities – Santiago, Mexico City and Guadalajara - also under code-share agreements.
