Finnish cabin crew union SLSY is threatening to strike next week over shift and other employment issues. If it goes ahead the strike will affect both Finnair and Blue 1 services.
The union has issued a warning to the Finnish Association of Support Service Industries that industrial action may be taken on Tuesday November 30, “if a solution is not reached before then on an employment agreement issue”.
Finnair last week said in a statement that if a strike were to take place, it would “bring most of Finnair's flight traffic to a halt”.
According to Finnair the previous agreement with SLSY ended in April this year, and negotiations on a new agreement have been under way since February.
More details on cancellation policies should the strike take place can be seen here.
