Shangri-La Paris to stage a December debut

Asian hospitality chain Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is poised to debut in Paris on December 17, 2010. The Shangri-La Paris, its first European property, is housed in the historical Palais d'Iéna.

Located in the 16th arrondissement, the former residence of of Emperor Napoleone Bonaparte’s grand-nephew, Prince Roland Bonaparte, has been transformed into a boutique hotel of just 81 rooms, 27 of which are suites. The Eiffel Tower can be viewed from 40 percent of the rooms. The Suite Imperiale, originally Prince Roland’s private spaces, is one of the product's highlights.

The hotel will also consist of three dining options: La Bauhinia, L’Abeille and Shang Palace and leisure facilites include an indoor swimming pool and gym.

Introductory rates start from US$ 1,026 a night.
