Vietnam Airlines (VN) will launch twice weekly flights between Hong Kong and the fast emerging tourist magnet Danang from November 26, 2010.
Departing from Hong Kong on Tuesday and Friday, VN hopes to attract stressed city dwellers to sample upscale resorts such as The Nam Hai and Life Resort and world-class golf courses designed by Greg Norman and Colin Montgomerie, both alongside Ha My Beach. A new international terminal, set for completion in January of next year, is expected to facilitate increase flows.
Three Unesco heritage sites, including Hoi An, is within easy access of Danang.
VN's flight from Hong Kong leaves at 7.20pm and arrives in Danang at 8pm (local time). The return flight departs from Danang at 3.30pm and lands at Hong Kong International Airport at 6.15pm. Commute time is approximately one hour and 40 minutes.
Other carriers serving the route fly from Singapore and these are Singapore Airlines, Silkair, and Jetstar.
