Qatar Airways adds a third daily flight between Doha and Bangkok from November 1, 2010, after having recently announced new Doha-Phuket services from October 12.
The latest Bangkok service will continue to Vietnam with four bound for the capital Hanoi and three onto Ho Chi Minh City. Passengers departing from Thailand or Vietnam can also purchase tickets to fly between Bangkok and both Vietnamese cities.
Qatar’s Doha-Phuket services will be six times weekly via Kuala Lumpur. The Middle Eastern carrier is the latest in a series of airlines that has chosen to fly direct to Phuket International Airport. In July, Hainan Airlines launched thrice-weekly flights from Beijing, and in December, Aeroflot intends to launch thrice weekly services from Moscow.
Other airlines fliying into the Kingdom's second gateway include THAI Airways, Etihad Airways, Singapore Airlines, Air Berlin, KLM, Air New Zealand, Pacific Blue, Jetstar, Scandinavian Airlines, Qantas, Korean Airlines, Japan Airlines and China Airlines.
These announced developments raise activity between Doha and Thailand to 27 flights weekly.
