Crowne Plaza Bangkok furthers IHG's expansion plans

4 Oct 2010

InterContinental Hotel Group expands its Asia-Pacific portfolio with the first Crowne Plaza in Thailand and the planned roll out of Indigo properties.

The Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park, located close to the Silom MRT and the Sala Daeng BTS stations, will open on January 1, 2011. The 241-room property, occupying the 21st to the 32nd floors of the Ramaland mixed-use complex, is the former Pan Pacific Hotel.

IHG’s boutique brand Indigo will also debut in Thailand but not before Indigo Shanghai, which is due to open by year-end, followed by Taipei in 2011, Bangkok in 2013 and Hong Kong in 2016.
