BA Executive Club quadruples miles earned on Discount Economy fares

1 Oct 2010 by BusinessTraveller

BA is quadrupling the number of miles earned on Discount Economy fares for Executive Club members, and is also doubling the number of tier points available.

The carrier is now offering 100 per cent of the standard mileage when travelling on Dicount Economy fares, up from the previous 25 per cent, and 50 per cent of tier points instead of the previous 25 per cent.

The announcement was emailed out to Executive Club members earlier today, along with the news that members can now earn or redeem BA miles on transatlantic flights with American Airlines, thanks to the recently-finalised joint business between the two carriers.

The agreement also means those booking flights with BA can now use BA Miles to upgrade from full fares on either partner.
