China Airlines is poised to join the SkyTeam airline alliance, Bloomberg news is reporting.
An invite has been sent out for tomorrow, September 14, 2010, to attend what the airline described as "a landmark event" in its 50-year history. The official announcement of China Airlines' joining Skyteam is expected to be made then.
With the prospective entry of China Airlines, SkyTeam will have five Asian members, consisting of co-founder Korean Air as well as China Southern Airlines and the most recent arrival, Vietnam Airlines.
