Qatar Airways launches mobile website

11 Aug 2010 by BusinessTraveller

Doha-based Qatar Airways has become the latest carrier to launch a mobile website, with features including flight check-in and seat selection.

The technology behind the new site automatically recognises that a mobile device is being used, and offers the mobile version without the need to download an application.

Facilities of the new site include the ability to check in for flights and choose your seat, as well as access flight status information, and the option for boarding passes to be sent directly to the mobile device (for routes to and from Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Doha, Frankfurt, London Heathrow, Kuala Lumpur, Manchester, Munich, Paris and Stockholm).

Qatar Airways recently announced it would unveil a new business class product next year, and is set to move from Heathrow T3 to T4 this November (see online news July 20).
