Hyatt Regency Pune is due to open in mid-October, the first Hyatt-branded property in the emerging IT and automotive hub.
The hotel will have 222 rooms with 84 serviced apartments launching next year.
Due to its location in Weikfield IT Park, 2.5km from the airport and a short drive from Magarpatta IT city, it will have a strong corporate bent with a business centre equipped with conference rooms, secretarial services, workstations, teleconferencing and other event facilities. The Regency Ballroom, which can be partitioned into three, and seven other venues make up the meetings component, while leisure offerings include the Arogya Spa and Fitness Centre, a heated indoor swimming pool and a yoga room. Nearby are the shopping and dining attractions of Kalyani Nagar.
Hyatt's arrival in Pune, Maharashtra state's second largest city, is part of a major push in the subcontinent (see news). Hyatt Chennai and Grand Hyatt Goa are also slated to open this year.
